Construction Continued....
It has been a week since we started on this journey. They're making great progress. Today they started painting the kids bedrooms. I haven't taken a picture of thier rooms yet, but I will after they leave.
The picture twords the middle is how Egyptians mix cement. Right there on the floor.
It has certainly been an adventure so far!

The Big Stairs Project
We decided to go ahead and do the stairs. The workmen came on Wed and got started, they moved all the furniture and put up plastic sheeting. Then on Thursday, they brought the jack hammer. It's such a mess. They kept making the hole bigger and bigger. Yesterday they came and hauled away all the concrete. It takes about 10-14 days for the stairs to be made so we have to deal with a hole in the ceiling.
Apparently, buildings here are meant to last for 100 years. Lots of concrete.
The last 2 pics are from upstairs.

Our Jerash Trip
On Thursday we went with our friend Maria and her 2 boys Julian and Marcus. The drive was about 30 minutes so very close. Anyway it was so cool to be walking in the same places as the Ancient Romans. We didn't get to see all of it, it was really hot. So we'll go back again. The kids loved it so much. Espcially Khalid, I can totally see him researching The Ancient Romans so he can tell us all about it.
I didn't get a lot of pictures of the ruins but next time I will.
Enjoy
